Mentorship and Women Entrepreneurs at the Frontlines of Climate Action
Women are disproportionately affected by climate change, yet when given the right support, they are also among the most powerful drivers of solutions. At Micromentor, we see that women entrepreneurs are three times more likely to create jobs, and when they succeed, they lift entire families and communities, creating better opportunities for both boys and girls, men and women. In this position paper, our CEO Anita Ramachandran, drawing on insights from experts and stories from entrepreneurs on the ground, explores how women’s entrepreneurship and mentorship together can strengthen climate resilience, close systemic gaps, and unlock more sustainable futures. She makes a case for leveraging advanced technology solutions and when paired with human connection, it can create lasting change.
