Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Operations Coordinator to support financial, administrative, and operational tasks. You’ll help ensure accurate accounting, smooth daily operations, and effective support for leadership and the team. This is a part-time contract with potential to grow based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Finance / Accounting
Lead Accounts Payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Perform monthly account reconciliations, enter spending data, and investigate discrepancies.
Manage vendor contracts and inquiries, ensuring accurate record-keeping and payment compliance.
Prepare Budget vs. Actual (BvA) reports and monitor budget compliance.
Maintain monthly templates, dashboards, and reports for performance evaluation.
Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Operations
Coordinate travel bookings and reimbursements in compliance with policies.
Organize and maintain digital files, documentation, and records.
Support CEO calendar management, including triaging email and scheduling meetings.
Coordinate team meetings, workshops, and trainings related to finance and operations.
Provide general operational support for special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
3+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in GSuite (Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Gmail) and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions).
Excellent organizational skills and razor sharp attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving, research, and multitasking abilities.
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support; nonprofit experience a plus.
Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible work environments.
Fluency in English and availability during US working hours.
Timeframe/Schedule
Approximately 10 - 16 hours/week (heavier at month end)
October 15, 2025- January 31, 2026
Pricing
$30.00- $35.00/ Hour (commiserate with experience)
