Position Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Coordinator to support critical operational and financial tasks. This is a short-term contract (10–12 hours/week) with growth potential into longer-term engagement depending on performance and organizational need. You’ll play a foundational role making sure our systems run smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Lead the preparation and processing of Accounts Payables, ensuring timely and accurate payments

  • Perform data entry and account reconciliations; flag and investigate discrepancies

  • Maintain and update monthly templates, financial reports, and dashboards

  • Maintain tracking systems for financial and operational metrics, supporting performance evaluation and reporting

Operations

  • Assist with travel booking and reimbursement processing

  • Organize and maintain digital files, documentation, and records

  • Help triage (manage) CEO’s email inbox and scheduling

  • Support scheduling for team meetings, workshops, and training related to finance and operations

  • Contribute to special projects and operational support as needed

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in GSuite (especially Google Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Gmail)

  • Solid working knowledge of Excel (formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables a plus)

  • Exceptional organizational skills and razor-sharp attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving and research capabilities

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support

  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial reporting, restricted funds, or grants management is an advantage

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to roll up your sleeves

Timeframe/Schedule

  • Approximately 10 - 16 hours/week (heavier at month end)

  • October 15, 2025- January 31, 2026 (with growth potential into longer-term engagement depending on performance and organizational need.)

Pricing

  • $20.00- $28.00/ Hour (commiserate with experience)
