What are the requirements to be a mentor?
We ask that mentors have several (3-5+) years of professional experience in business ownership, management, or a specialized skill, such as accounting, import/export, or web development. Experience with mentoring is not necessary – nearly everyone has something valuable to contribute and we're always here to support you.

Who will I be working with? What types skills are needed?
MicroMentor entrepreneurs are a very diverse group, starting business in many sectors and seeking a variety of expertise, however common needs include general business planning and administration, analyzing cash flows, managing finances, web development/e-commerce, and improving sales and marketing. Our online matching tools will help you find the best fit.

Can my department or team mentor as a group?
Absolutely, we are happy to arrange team mentoring arrangements. We'd prefer to have volunteers register individually (leaving open the possibility for individual engagements down the line), and our staff will then create a team profile and facilitate the matching and mentoring process. We ask that your team assign a dedicated coordinator to act as the primary liaison between the entrepreneur, your team, and our staff.
